James Hetfield's Guitars

Over the course his Metallica's 30 year career, James Hetfield has used an enourmous amount of guitars, most notably those by ESP and Gibson. James is most known for his love of the Explorer. He first started using the Gibson Explorer after his White Flying V (copy, not a Gibson) broke and he turned to his backup: the Gibson 1984 Explorer.

As the years passed, James hooked up with ESP Guitars and began using custom made Explorers among others by ESP. These days, James still rocks the Explorers along with his love for Les Pauls and LP style guitars as well as his newest creation with ESP, The James Hetfield Snakebyte.
